Start Of The Season

The wait is almost over as we get ready for Reservations to open on April 19th and prepare for a great first day of Fishing on April 22nd!

As the snow melts and the lake unfreezes, we wanted to highlight some of the beautiful things spring brings to Central Oregon.

Beautiful Blooms

Goldfields - Lasthenia Californica

These vibrant wildflowers native to Oregon, known for their dense clusters of small, golden-yellow blossoms. These low-growing annual plants thrive in open meadows and grasslands, creating stunning displays of color during the spring months, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

White Sand Lilies - Leucocrinum Montanum

These perennial bulbs bloom in late spring to early summer, adding a touch of elegance to the rugged coastal landscapes. White Sand Lilies are also known for their sweet fragrance, making them a delightful find for nature enthusiasts.

Bitterroot - Lewisia Rediviva

A resilient and striking wildflower found in Oregon's rocky and arid regions, showcasing beautiful pink to purplish flowers with a contrasting yellow center. This flower is well adapted to survive harsh conditions, blooming in late spring to early summer after the winter snows have melted. Bitterroot is not only considered a symbol of endurance but also holds cultural significance for Indigenous communities in the region.
